RecoverAI is built on a foundation of trust. We do not store, record, or retain any of your voice conversations or text chat messages. When a session ends, it is gone. Your words are never saved to our servers, never reviewed by our team, and never shared with any third party. This is not a policy we may change — it is fundamental to how RecoverAI works.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: Your name and email address, provided when you sign in via our authentication provider.
  • Subscription data: Your plan type, subscription status, and billing dates. Payment details (card numbers, CVV) are handled exclusively by Stripe and are never stored by RecoverAI.
  • Trusted contacts: Names and phone numbers you voluntarily add to your contacts list. This data is stored securely and used only to enable the Call, Text, and SOS features.
  • Usage metadata: Session counts and duration (not content) to support subscription management and service improvement.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

  • The content of your voice conversations or text chat messages
  • Audio recordings of any kind
  • Mood check-in responses or personal notes
  • Your location or device identifiers beyond what your browser provides
  • Any information about your addiction history, medical history, or treatment

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process subscription payments through Stripe
  • To personalize your AI companion experience (e.g., addressing you by name)
  • To send essential service communications (e.g., trial expiry reminders)
  • To improve the reliability and quality of the service

4. Third-Party Services

RecoverAI uses the following trusted third-party services:

  • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled. RecoverAI never receives or stores full card numbers.
  • AI infrastructure: Voice transcription and AI response generation. Audio and text are processed in real time and are not retained after the session ends.
  • Authentication provider: Secure sign-in. Your credentials are managed by our authentication provider and are not stored by RecoverAI.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only. We regularly review our security practices to protect your information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal

RecoverAI does not monitor conversations. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. RecoverAI is a support tool and is not a substitute for emergency services or professional medical care.

8. Children's Privacy

RecoverAI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the site or by email. Continued use of RecoverAI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
